On the north of Australia is the famous Great Barrier Reef and the Coral Sea with a water temperature in the 80s and the low 80's around the Barrier reef. The cooler south has temperatures closer to the 60s in the southern seas. Australia's Great Barrier Reef is the largest and most extensive reef system in the world. It is over 1400 miles along the east coast of Australia and covering an area of more than 134,000 square miles. |
